Do you have a broken household item you would like fixed?

Don't throw it away- bring your broken item to us and let's give it a second life. We are partnering with Repair Cafe CNY to bring you Lysander's very first Repair Cafe! Our Repair Coaches can help you fix your item for free! This helps you to reduce waste, share skills, save money, and build community.

Want to spread positive vibes throughout our hive? 🐝 Registration is now open for the annual "Bee Well Mental Health Awareness Window Paint-a-thon" in the village of Baldwinsville. Come help us paint the windows throughout the village to raise awareness for mental health. 🖌️🎨This event takes place rain or shine, so please come dressed appropriately! ☔

This is a FREE PROGRAM. Please submit your registration form by Friday, April 24th, 2026, to ensure your spot. Space is limited, so please register ahead of time. 

Do you have items in your home that you're not using anymore? Come do a little spring cleaning and get rid of all your “junk” by selling it out of your trunk (of your car – of course). Lysander Parks and Recreation is bringing back the Junk in Your Trunk Sale on May 9th, from 8:00am to 2:00pm. This is a community event, and anyone is welcome to come and shop!

This class will take place on Wednesday evenings, from 5:30 to 6:30pm, June 3rd to September 30th.

Rev up your RV for a cross-country STEAM adventure! You and your STEAM team will engineer your way from sea to shining sea, from the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge, from the Hawaiian Volcanoes to the Floridian Theme Parks, to an exciting world of pit stops in between. This imagination fueled excursion across the USA promises to have camper smiling from coast to coast! 🌴🔎

Challenge Island is hosting Road Trip USA STEAM camp at Lysander Town Park for the week of June 29th! Join us for a full or half day camp! 

Half Day: $150

Full Day: $300

This week, we're making hanging fish windsocks! This craft is perfect to run around and play with, or to hang up as decoration in your home. We'll use paper, watercolors, tissue paper, and string to make this colorful masterpiece!

Join us for the 10th anniversary year of GEMS+ Summer Camp!

GEMS stands for "Girls Engaged in Math and Science" and was designed in 2016 with the purpose of exposing female middle school students to STEAM practices and careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. In addition to camp activities, female guest speakers in STEAM careers will meet with and engage student participants with activities related to their fields.

Get ready for a journey through time and space as we meet the great explorers! From Copernicus to Galileo, from the Wright Brothers to Amelia Earhart, from Neil Armstrong to Mae Jemison, from Elon Musk to wherever your imagination will take you. This camp is guaranteed to be an out of this world experience! 🌴🔎

Join the Town of Lysander for a fun-filled day with fire trucks, emergency vehicles, and other big rigs on display! Meet your local heroes from the regional fire departments, learn about what they do, and find out how you might be able to get involved. 

We'll have food from the concession stand, crafts and games, and tours of all kinds of big trucks!

This event is perfect for families, future firefighters, and anyone curious about volunteering in the community. We hope to see you there!

Calling all budding paleontologists! Set up camp on Jurassic Island, uncover a land forgotten by time, and unearth the incredible secrets of dinosaurs and their ancient ecosystem. Walk in the footprints of the gentle brachiosaurus, race against the velociraptors, soar through the skies with the pterodactyl, and battle the might tyrannosaurus rex! This STEAM-fueled camp is sure to be the best learning adventure of all time! 🌴🔎

We're making perler bead art this week! We'll use small pegboards and perler beads to create images that are simple or complex as you'd like them to be, and then we'll fuse the beads together to make a work of art!

Our Annual Ladies Summer Scramble Pickleball Tournament is back!

This tournament is a fun, social competition just for the ladies, and it's a great way to enjoy some summer sun, friendly games, and good company.

When: July 15th, rain date will be the 16th

This year, Lysander Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a unique summer opportunity for middle and high school students: ESF's Summer Science Corps! 

ESF Summer Science Corps is ESF's own summer program, carried out in partnership with local schools, parks, and community organizations. We are proud to partner with ESF faculty, staff, and students carrying out the academic and research efforts for which ESF is nationally renowned. 

Join us each Tuesday during the summer for a FREE arts and crafts program! This program is a great way to get out of the house, get outside, and encourage your children to express their creativity! You can usually find us at one of the pavilions, but in case of bad weather, we'll be in the community room. 

This week, we'll use crayons and paper to make detailed images of leaves and tree bark on paper! Join us to learn more about the trees at Lysander Park!

They'll visit gyms, earn badges, go on treasure hunts, and even engage in a battle or two! With the help of their Islandmon ally, STEAMaroo, and her adorable joey, STEAMpuff, our STEAM teams will tackle an island-full of engineering challenges as they evolve into true STEAM champions!
